Welcome to BracketMaker.app (“we”, “us”, “our”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BracketMaker.app website, mobile applications, and related services (“Services”).
By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Overview of the Service
BracketMaker.app provides online tools for creating, managing, and sharing tournament brackets, schedules, and related content. Our features may evolve over time, and we may add, remove, or modify functionality at any time.
2. Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate information
- keep your login details secure
- be responsible for all activity under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials
3.1. Subscription Plans
We offer paid subscription plans (“Pro” plans) billed either:
- monthly, or
- annually
Pricing, features, and availability are described on our website and may change over time.
We also offer one-time payment plans for certain period of time that do not have trial periods and are billed once.
3.2. Free Trials
Some plans include a free trial (e.g., 7-day or 14-day).
During signup we clearly display:
- trial length
- the price after the trial
- the date the subscription will renew
At the end of the trial, the subscription automatically converts to a paid plan unless the user cancels before the trial ends.
3.3. Automatic Renewal
All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly).
By starting a trial or subscription, you authorize us to charge the selected payment method on each renewal date until the subscription is canceled.
We may attempt multiple charges if an initial payment fails.
4. Subscription Cancellation Policy
4.1. How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time by:
- Logging into your BracketMaker.app account
- Navigating to your account name in the top right corner, then clicking on Subscription → Manage Subscription; it will take you to your Stripe billing portal
- Clicking Cancel Subscription in Stripe billing portal
Cancellation is self-served and does not require contacting support.
4.2. When Cancellation Takes Effect
When you cancel:
- your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing or trial period
- you will not be charged again
- you retain access to all Pro features until expiration
Canceling does not retroactively refund charges.
4.3. Canceling During a Free Trial
If you cancel before the trial ends:
- your trial ends immediately, or
- you retain access through the trial period (depending on your plan’s settings)
You will not be charged.
4.4. Canceling After a Renewal
If you cancel after a renewal payment has already been processed, the subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Renewal charges are non-refundable, except in the limited cases described below.
5. Refund Policy
Because BracketMaker.app is a digital service delivered instantly, all subscription payments (including trial conversions, monthly renewals, and annual renewals) are non-refundable, except:
- duplicate charges caused by our system
- billing errors on our side
- subscriptions purchased fraudulently using a stolen payment method, subject to investigation
We do not offer refunds for:
- forgetting to cancel before renewal
- not using the service
- canceling shortly after a renewal
- misunderstanding the trial terms
These policies follow standard SaaS practice and help maintain fairness and prevent abuse.

6. Use of the Service
You agree not to:
- misuse or overload our servers
- attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Services
- upload harmful code
- violate any applicable laws while using the platform
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, software, and branding of BracketMaker.app is owned by us or licensed to us.
You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services without permission.
Tournament data, names, and content you create remain yours; you grant us a license to store and process them to operate the Service.
8. Service Availability and Changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the entire Service at any time.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Some regions may not allow certain limitations, so this may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access for violating these Terms or for harmful activity.
Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you end immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus (EU), without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts located in Cyprus.
