How Does an 8 Team Single Elimination Tournament Work?
The 8 team knockout tournament has 3 rounds and 7 games in total. Since 8 is a power of 2, there are no byes.
Bracket Size
Bracket size stands for how many games are in the 1st round, including byes. In this case it’s simple: 8 players means a bracket size of 8.
