How does a 6 team round robin work?
In this type of tournament, every team (player or person) will pair up with every other team once. Thus, each team will play 5 games. It works similarly for a six person bracket.
This schedule format is quite popular in team sports like football when each team plays with other team once, or in individual competitions like chess where each participant compete with every other participant exactly once.
This format is quite different from single elimination tournament where if the team loses, it is their last game and they get eliminated immediately and don’t compete further.
The winner in round robin is determined by the number of points won, number of wins, or points diff, goals diff (like in football), depending on the event rules. Tie breaker rules can be different too.
How many games are in 6 team round robin tournament?
In six teams round robin format there are 15 games and 5 rounds in total, and each team plays 5 games during the entire tournament. Draws are randomized in the game and round. Then the first round is completed, everyone moves to the next round.
